DYNAVIS®-formulated hydraulic fluids

DYNAVIS is a technology for formulating hydraulic fluids which optimizes their viscosity. Fluids with constant viscosity ensure greater efficiency and less energy consumption in hydraulic equipment of all kinds.

In hydraulic equipment, fluid viscosity must be high enough to protect the equipment and guarantee pump efficiency. However as fluid moves through the system, it experiences friction and builds heat therefore reducing viscosity.

Formulating according to the DYNAVIS® Performance Standard ensures hydraulic fluids maintain their viscosity over a broad temperature range through elevated viscosity index and high shear stability. In the end, these hydraulic fluids save energy and enhance performance while protecting the equipment.

Based on years of intensive R&D and meticulously designed field test trials, hydraulic equipment operating with DYNAVIS® formulated fluids have credibly demonstrated their potential to achieve:

• up to 5-15% more hydraulic power under full-load conditions
• up to 5-15% lower fuel consumption to achieve the same amount of work
• faster response to operator control
• higher flow rate at peak operating temperatures.

TESTS UNDER REAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Hydraulic fluids formulated with DYNAVIS® technology save energy in every hydraulic application. The stable viscosity over a broad temperature range allows the use of one ISO grade lower than the one recommended by the oil manufacturer. This reduces friction and the higher viscosity index avoids internal leakage. Depending on the specific situation energy savings of up to 5-15% were measured.

We have completed more than 20 performance demonstrations since 2005 in many diverse conditions. The sequence is an A-B-A fluid pattern with flushing, reference fluid (A), test fluid (B), and again reference fluid (A). Oil quality is analyzed before and after each flush, while a variety of measurement probes and devices track parameters during working like fuel consumption, ambient and oil temperatures, flow rates, etc.
